A Study - Who is Lucifer

From the beginning, MAN has been disobedient to God by choice. There are always two choices, two paths and two voices, to choose follow or obey: God or Satan's --

We allow which one we will follow I would like to show you that Satan, just as God, has many names which interpret different aspects of the nature or manifestations of either one. Let's start with "Lucifer". This name to most of us is synonymous with Satan. "Lucifer" means "Light Bearer", "Day Star", or "Morning Star". In the instances where God, through different writers such as Isaiah and Ezekiel, addresses Lucifer, he is speaking to MEN of great power or authority who have been overcome with a SPIRIT of pride. In Isaiah 14, it is the king of Babylon; in Ezekiel 28, it is the prince of Tyrus and the king of Tyrus. To each, God said, "YOU were in Eden, the Garden of Cod", as he says also to Pharoah of Egypt and the great Assyrians in Ezekiel 31. Right away, we see and understand that he is talking to MEN with a SPIRIT Of Pride which is the dominating characterstic which had taken over their minds. In the Book of Proverbs, pride is at the top of the list of things which God HATES, and remember, this is only one of the SIX things God hates --- and we know that "6" is the number of Man. As our brother Bert Dearden would say, I leave that with you for what it is worth.

Now let us go back to Isaiah 11:16; In this verse, there are those who have been given the opportunity to see who Lucifer is, and they make an incredible statement: they call him a MAN, God does in Ezekiel: 28. By the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word be established. Now before you start doing backflips and start screaming, "FALSE Doctrine!" I am simply showing you what the SCRIPTURES say, not me.1 Corinthians 8:2:

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. What I am trying to do is to bring your attention to the fact that there are only two spirits ruling and reigning in a man's life (as of course you already know). spirits are only manifested through Man. I do not want you to misunderstand me; I am not saying that man in and of himself is Satan or Lucifer or the devil. * BUT I will say that when Man gives over to the leading of the carnal mind through the spirit of the adversary, or the devil, or Satan, or that wicked one the heart which is deceitful above, ALL things (as Jer 17:9 states) Just as Peter did with no ill intention in mind when Jesus looked right at HIM and said, "Get thee behind me, SATAN"; just as he would look at us today and say the same thing when we are going AGAINST the will and plan of God in our lives: that is anti-Christ. Remember there are many names for the devil. Jesus said this about the DEVIL: he was a murderer from the beginning. Well, who was the first murderer? Cain, a MAN. Also, I might add it was he (Cain) that told the first lie; when God asked him, "Where is your brother?", cain answered, "I know not" (Gen 4:9). And remember, Jesus was speaking to RELIGIOUS people and said to them, "You are of your FATHER the DEVIL."

Now let us go on. I know that this PROBABLY goes against how you have been taught about the "devil" or "Satan". But on this subject, as with many others we have been taught the TRADITIONS of men: namely, that the devil is some entity that may OR may not have a body, and that he basically can devour or destroy people without THEIR consent or knowledge that it is going on chat God does not know or allow it to take place. We have only been taught what the people who have taught us have been taught: namely TRADITIONS. But we have to love the Truth AND SPEAK IT When God reveals it to us, no matter who believes it or receives it, whether it is our closest friend or a family member. Again, Tet me make it very clear that I am not saying that Man in and of himself is the devil, just Man in and of himself could not be called a son of God. It is only by choice, will, and obedience that Man can be called either one. "To whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey".

Now let us go on to the description of Lucifer meaning Light Bearer or Day Star. THIS IS NOT the description of Satan as we know him now, for Lucifer WAS NOT a thief, a liar, or a murderer, but Man after the FALL is all of these Adam FELL from that spiritual place in which God had communion with him. In John 8:44, Jesus says he (the devil) was a murderer from the beginning and ABODE not in the truth. Now, we have already estab- lished by the WORD OF GOD that the first murderer was Cain, A MAN. Now who was it that did not abide in the truth from the beginning? Why, it was Adam and Eve (mankind); remember, he called their name ADAM. It was Adam that did not ABIDE (stay in) the truth; it wasn't the serpent which supposedly is our first introduction or manifestation of this fairy-tale devil that just does not exist the way we have been taught. Show me one, two, three, four or however many scriptures you can come up with that quote Lucifer falling to become the serpent, and the serpent became the devil, and the devil became Satan. For the scripture says this (Rom 5:19): "For as by one MAN'S disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man shall many be made righteous." The scripture also says that Christ is the second ADAM. Both were called sons of God, and God is light. Therefore, Jesus is the "Light of the world", the Bright and Morning Star and the Day Star Peter 1:19). Adam was the original Light Bearer or ---are you ready for the bombshell--- "Lucifer". What was it that made Lucifer or Adam fall from that spiritual place of glory? *The same thing. The serpent said to Eve in Gen 3:5: "Then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods". This is why they or she partook of the Forbidden fruit; they wanted to be like the Most High, and they did not abide in the truth which was "In the day that you eat of it you shall surely dle". The whole Genesis account of the Garden and the Fall is described in Isa 14:12-17. It is also the same spirit that dwelt in the men of Babylon. They wanted to build up to Heaven. In Ezek 28, God is talking to the king of Tyre. In verse 13, he says, "Thou hast been in Eden the Garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering", Man (Adam) was made from the dust of the earth. Every precious stone was HIS covering. All of the stones are in the earth, which covered Adam.

You see, the word "devil" is not in the Old Testament. It is A New Testament word, meaning "slanderer", from the Latin word "diabelos" *From "piabellum" which means TO THROW ACROSS: they were thrown across from the spirit world to the carnal, natural realm. If you will notice, after the FALL God said in Gen 3:17- 18 the ground was cursed; Verse 18 says, "thorns and thistles Shall it bring forth unto thee" This is also the description in Isa 14:17 which says "Is this the MAN that made the world as a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof". Herein lies another" name for Satan take your pick --- "The Destroyer It is man that destroys the cities he lives in. Remember in Verse 16, he (Lucifer) is called a MAN. This is the MAN of sin which is now being revealed which we read about in 2 Thes 2:3, who sits in the temple of God. Your body is the temple of God. Everywhere in scripture where it describes or talks about the devil or Satan it is describing MAN when he is not under the Leadership or the authority of God. This is why we must be Filled with the Holy Ghost. This is Why Jesus could look at Peter and call him Satan for his words and desire for Jesus were contrary to the will and plan of God.

Now let us look at what the scriptures say about men. Jer 17:9 says,The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?This is the mystery of iniquity. Notice the scripture says, "deceitful above ALL things"; and ALL means ALL. Now, let's look at what Jesus daid about man's heart. He said in Mat 15:19, For out of the heart proceedeth forth evil choughts murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts false wit- ness blasphemies. These are the things that defile a man. James says it this way (James 1:14): "Every MAN is tempted when he is drawn away of HIS OWN lust and enticed." Paul writes and says it this way, "The carnal mind is ENMITY against God. IT is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be." You could substitute the word "devil" in place of "carnal mind" and it wouldn't change the use at all. The Bible is very plain in its description of how Jesus was tempted. He was tempted in all points LIRE AS WE ARE. low is it that we are tempted? Do we have a fairy tale devil that appears to us as we have been taught appeared to Jesus? No the scripture says "like AS we aro" tempted. We are tempted by our own lust. This carnal mind rises up AGAINST the Spirit of God and says in the voice of that ser- pent, "Go ahead, you can get away with it; it's not that bad." This is also the description of the "man of sin" in 2 Thessalonians sitting in the temple, There's only one temple that God is interested in in the New Testament. That temple is your body. 1 Cor 6:19 "What, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. As long as we keep believing in all of these char- acters that have been conjured up by the vain imagination of men, which came about by their carnal mind interpreting a SPIRITUAL book; as long as we keep believing in a fairy tale devil that does not exist, he can remain hidden and never be exposed: just what an enemy desires.

Now let us look at antichrist. It is generally accepted by most of us that this is a singular man, and that at any time soon he will arise on the stage of the earth, before the return of Christ. John said in his writing, "Ye have heard that antichrist shall come even now are there many antichrists." My friend, You and I could be called and considered by God to be antichrist, by simply rejecting the "Annointed One" in our lives. No, there is not going to be one man that arises who is going to be the "Antichrist". Can't you see that he (antichrist) is all of these names we have been talking about: devil, Satan, that wicked one, thief, liar, murderer, antichrist. When he stays in the residence of the heart and minds of men, it is MANKIND you can put all of the above mentioned names whenever man is not filled with, led by and controlled by the Spirit of God.
